Happy Columbus Day!

I forgot all about this holiday until I wondered why there was no mail in the mailbox and then a friend e-mailed me to remind me of the holiday. If I remember from school, we used to say, “Back in 1492, Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue.”

New discoveries. New voyages. New places.

Are you sailing on a course through some troubled waters right now? Well, just know you will reach your destination in time. In fact, your journey might bring you to places you had never dreamed of. Just remember: If you have put your faith in the God, He is still at the helm. He knows  the correct route to where you need to go. Even if it seems like the Master is asleep in your boat, take heart. He will guide you safely through.

Just follow your GPS: God’s Positioning System.* That’s His Word. Keep close to the Lord in prayer, and He will direct you.

NOTE: I think I first heard this term used at a women’s conference at New Life Providence Church.
