The other day, after a soggy rainstorm, the sun peeked out long enough for me to take my cabin-fevered self out to the park close to home and get some exercise in before the rain clouds rolled back in again.

I intended to go the way I always go – the ringed path that goes back into the woods. It’s the most scenic route and the most private. I like to walk and pray a lot, and that was my intent this particular morning.

But after only a quarter of the way around the path, I noticed a sign that read “Path Flooded.” Read the rest of this entry »
